KOTA TINGGI: Police have arrested a man for allegedly slashing his wife and three family members with a parang while breaking fast at a house in Kuala Sedili here near here.

       The incident took place on April 14 at 7.11pm.

       Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the 38-year-old suspect was detained at Jalan Persiaran Indahpura 4, in Kulai, on Wednesday (April 20).

       "The suspect was tested positive for methamphetamine," he said in a statement.

       Supt Hussin said the suspect would be remanded for seven days starting Thursday (April 21) until April 27.

       The suspect suddenly ran amok and slashed his wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

       The victims were severely wounded in the attack.
