Pensioners have claimed "Labour want us 6 feet under" after the government's latest betrayal to compensate women affected by the way changes to the state pension age were communicated.
Pensioners voting in a recent Express.co.uk poll say they are being treated “second class citizens” following the government’s “shameful” decision to refuse millions of women compensation.

Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall confirmed yesterday that ministers would deny payments to most of the 3.6 million women born in the 1950s who were not properly informed of the rise in state pension age.
In a letter to campaigners, pensions minister Emma Reynolds said the policy change was “targeted to bring the public finances back under control”.

The move, which has been labelled a “despicable decision” has sparked outrage across political divides, came months after Labour stripped up to 10 million pensioners of the winter fuel lifeline.
Reynold’s letter has failed to help raise pensioners' Christmas cheer with many taking a stand to fight back against the Government.
Dennis Reed, director of over 60s campaign group Silver Voices, said: "This despicable decision slipped out just before Christmas proves that the scrapping of the winter fuel payment was not a one-off and pensioners are officially second class citizens under the Labour Government.
"Unless we fight back there appears to be no limit to the depths the Government will stoop to to make savings off the backs of poor pensioners.”

And now a shocking Express.co.uk poll has revealed how upset pensioners are with a whopping 99% believing that Labour 'hates them' working out at 16,279 of readers.
Only 1% (164) readers said they believe Laboour does not hate them.
Express.co.uk readers responded in their masses to express their outrage at the latest policy change.
One said: "Labour wants ALL PENSIONERS 6ft under to give them the free reign to trouser all their cash. Nothing short of! So once you turn to state pension age, beware of NeverHereKier's knocking-on-your-door squad!"
Another claimed "Labour are the worst people to run this country".
They said: "Labour hate pensioners full stop, why do you think they have stopped winter fuel allowance ?? They don't want to keep pensioners living, it saves them money, LABOUR THE WORST PEOPLE TO RUN THIS COUNTRY it's OK for them, they are all millionaires who don't pay anything.
"My Dad has worked all his life and can't even get pension credit, his rent is nearly ￡200 a week, that's his pension gone, then his water, electric, gas."
"Pensioners do not generally vote for Labour as they have more sense, tuned by many decades of experience", one reader said:
They added: "Labour knows and dislikes this and have taken a swipe at the elderly in consequence. This is shown not only in removing the very helpful winter fuel allowance, but on taxing inheritances that had been set aside for the next generation.
"Also the desire to remove several benefits. That has currently been put on hold due to the large backlash, but the intention remains."

Chancellor Rachel Reeves is among numerous senior ministers who backed the Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) campaign when Labour was in opposition.
She appeared in a photograph alongside a group of the women in 2020, holding a placard pledging to work with them towards a "fair solution".
