Metro suspended rail service on part of the Orange Line in Virginia on Tuesday evening after a power outage during a thunderstorm left tens of thousands without power across the region.

Metro said train service was suspended between the Vienna and East Falls Church stations due to a power outage at the West Falls Church station. Shuttle buses were being sent to carry passengers between the closed stations.
