Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, 39, will be joined by other members of the Royal Family, including her husband Prince William, 39, at the upcoming Together At Christmas community carol service, taking place at Westminster Abbey this week. The charity Christmas fundraiser which takes place on December 8 will be hosted by the Duchess, with the Duke expected to be among those watching on from the audience.
The Queen took a hiatus from public outings earlier this winter after she was ordered to rest up by doctors having spent one night in hospital as a precaution.
Whether or not Her Majesty will attend this week's event remains to be seen but if she does it will be the first time members of the Firm have been publically reunited for several months.
Despite her recent health scare, the Queen is still expected to host family members at Sandringham over Christmas in keeping with royal tradition.
Daily Mail royal correspondent Rebecca English tweeted on Monday: "New: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by other members of the Royal Family, will attend the Together At Christmas community carol service at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 8th December."
The concert hosted and spearheaded by Kate, and supported by The Royal Foundation will raise funds for causes close to the couple’s hearts.
It will also recognise the work of both individuals and organisations across the UK, who have supported their communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.
These include NHS Charities Together, which supports health service workers, volunteers and patients.
The festive offering will combine traditional parts of a carol service with more modern elements.
Carols sung by Westminster Abbey choir will feature on the bill alongside musical performances by Leona Lewis and Ellie Goulding.
There will also be readings by speakers including British Paralympian and junior doctor Kim Daybell included on the evening's itinerary.
The broadcasted version of the event will feature additional content including an introduction from The Duchess of Cambridge.
There will also be video content highlighting the efforts of inspirational organisations.
In addition, a special performance by Tom Walker of his new Christmas single For Those Who Can’t Be Here is also expected to be included.
