       THREE people were slapped with a RM1,500 compound each for entering a durian stall in Bentong, Pahang, without scanning their MySejahtera app, reported China Press.

       Several Health Department officers conducted a spot check at a durian stall and issued three RM1,500 compounds, including to a worker at the stall who did not check in through his MySejahtera app.

       The offenders were penalised under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and they are required to pay the penalty before Sept 8 or face a charge in court.

       On Aug 14, a worker at a stall in Karak was given a RM1,500 compound for taking down his mask to smoke. It is learnt that many factories producing durian products were ordered to shut down after several Covid-19 clusters were found there.

       The man said that he didn’t bathe so that he could retain the smell of his late wife.

       He said when he was young, he fell in love with a woman whom he later married.

       Just as the two were living a happy life, his wife died from a virus, which brought him great pain.
