The stalled vehicle is causing traffic mayhem on the route connecting London to Leeds with one lane closed and severe delays.

       Highways Englands says the stretch is expected to clear between 9am and 9.15am with normal traffic conditions expected between the same times.

       There are currently 30 minute delays.

       Separate chaos was reported on the M27 westbound between Junction 5 for Southampton and J4 for the M3.

       In an update National Highways reports all lanes are now open with about seven miles of congestion remaining.

       Motorists have been advised to allow time for the delays to ease.
