Police said the vehicle stayed on the scene and “was not involved in the initial incident.”
The D.C. medical examiner’s office ruled Roberson’s cause of death to be multiple blunt-force injuries and said she was a victim of homicide. As of Thursday, police had not made an arrest in the case.
Nellie’s Sports Bar closed at 3 a.m. that morning, according to its hours posted online. The bar did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the incident.
The latest D.C. police data shows homicides up by 35 percent so far this year compared with the same period in 2022, putting the District on track for its deadliest year in more than two decades.
