SINGAPORE - A partner at law firm Rajah & Tann Singapore was driving a car in the Bukit Timah area when he allegedly failed to conform to a red traffic light signal, resulting in a collision with a motorcycle.
The 29-year-old motorcyclist suffered grievous hurt following the accident, but the nature of his injuries was not disclosed in court documents.
On Oct 30, lawyer Brian Ng Pheng Kin, 42, was charged with causing grievous hurt to another person while driving a car in a dangerous manner.
According to court documents, Ng was driving a car at around 7.20pm on Sept 24, 2023, when he reached a signalised junction between Sixth Avenue and Jalan Haji Alias.
The collision took place after he allegedly failed to conform to a red light.
Ng is expected to plead guilty on Nov 8.
For causing grievous hurt to another person while driving a vehicle in a dangerous manner, an offender can be jailed for between one and five years.
