PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has pledged that the responsibility that has been entrusted to him as Deputy Prime Minister will be carried sincerely for the sake of political stability, economy and the prosperity of the country.

       “This is not a privilege but it is actually a heavy responsibility at a time when we are facing a pandemic and to see to the success of the National Recovery Plan.

       “I pray for all of us, irrespective of religion, race and political belief to come together to bring Malaysia to greater heights and a brighter future,” he said on Tuesday.

       Ismail Sabri thanked Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for the appointment, saying that he is grateful for the appointment as Deputy Prime Minister.

       “I would also like to express my appreciation to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and to the party leadership for their support;

       “My thanks also goes to Members of Parliament, leaders of political party and to the people of Malaysia,” he said.
