Sir Rod Stewart, 80, has issued a six-word statement to his legion of followers ahead of his highly anticipated Glastonbury performance tomorrow afternoon. Taking to Instagram this afternoon, the rocker shared a series of clips from his concerts over the years with the well-loved song Forever Young playing in the background.
The Sailing singer captioned the video montage: "@glastofest Tomorrow. Who’s coming along for the ride?" The post sparked a frenzy among his 1.5million followers who were quick to comment on the video. One said: "Good luck Rod! My hero!" Another penned: "Cannot wait." A third shared: "Sir Rod forever young. Stay strong. God bless."

Sir Rod said he had read about the Prime Minister's 12-year fishing agreement with the European Union, which allows trawlermen from across the continent continued access to UK waters. “That hasn’t made him popular,” the singer lamented.
“Starmer’s all about getting us out of Brexit, and I don’t know how he’s going to do that," Sir Rod noted.
He also suggested there was a reason to believe in Reform UK's leader, saying: “What options have we got? I know some of his family, I know his brother, and I quite like him.”

Sir Rod shared: “Usually I do well over two hours, so there’s still a load of songs we won’t be able to do,” he said. “But we’ve been working at it. I’m not gonna make any announcements between songs.”
