PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 9,751 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday (Oct 8), making it the sixth straight day that infections remained below 10,000.

       Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah posted on Twitter that the country’s cumulative total of Covid-19 cases is now 2,323,478.

       Three states recorded cases above four digits - Selangor (1,796), Sarawak (1,339) and Kelantan (1,052).
