A BRITISH soldier is on the international wanted list after she allegedly slashed a pal's throat with a broken bottle in Magaluf.

Cops in Spain have issued a warrant for Sydney Cole, 22, who was bailed after the alleged horror at Bananas nightclub in 2019.

Lance Corporal Sarah Garrity was left in intensive care after losing four pints of blood during the incident.

Medics closed the knife wound across her throat with 14 stitches.

Sarah, of Ayrshire in Scotland, only survived after hero teen Kane Sharman raced to stop the blood gushing from her neck.

Today, a Mallorcan court has issued a warrant for Cole, a bus driver's daughter from Hertfordshire.

It comes after failed attempts by detectives to inform her they wanted to question her again under oath, Ultima Hora reports.

Sources said the judge took action after Cole, who was based at Fort George Barracks in Inverness when she was arrested, changed address without notifying the court.

If the allegation is true, it would mean she has breached her bail conditions.

       YOUNG MUM ON WANTED LIST

Cole has reportedly left the barracks after having a baby. It's understood she now lives in an Army house.

Her defence lawyer Miguel Angel Ordinas has ended his relationship with the suspect. A second lawyer who was working with her has also quit, it's claimed.

Meanwhile, Spanish officials are believed to have been unable to find key witnesses who told police they saw Cole throw a glass directly at 25-year-old Sarah's face.

Sarah, who was serving in the Royal Logistics Corps when she was injured, says she doesn't want to press charges following the incident, which happened during an all-day foam party.

Cole says she threw a glass on the floor during a fight and shards hit Sarah in the neck.

Following the fight, she was remanded in custody for two days before lawyers secured her release from prison.

One well-placed source in Mallorca said they believed a trial would take place - and that the case had only been delayed by Covid.

"Before state prosecutors indict her, Cole has to be questioned again under oath," they said.

       HORROR INJURY

"The problem has been that the coronavirus pandemic kicked in and it has to be done via video conference.

"It's been suspended on more than one occasion.

"No date has yet been set for the court quiz. It could be another month or two months away.

"But it will happen and it's a simple bureaucratic formality that needs to precede the issuing of the indictment."

Another added: "I'd expect state prosecutors to indict Cole for attempted homicide given the investigating judge's decision.

"That's punishable in Spain by a prison sentence of five to ten years.

"The indictment could be for a lesser crime of wounding with a dangerous object although it would be unexpected.

"But until the indictment is issued no-one can be 100 per cent sure."

Sarah's family claim Cole has never apologised for her alleged part in the injury.

She wasn't suspended from the Army - and the pair continued to work together, even having to stand on parade with one another.
