GOMBAK: Police are investigating a snatch theft incident in Taman Selayang Jaya in which a woman was robbed of her gold necklace worth about RM5,000.

       In a statement, Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said the incident occurred at 12.10pm on Sunday (March 6).

       "The 27-year-old victim was with her husband outside a restaurant in Taman Selayang Jaya when a man on a green motorcycle snatched her gold necklace.

       "The suspect escaped, and the necklace is estimated to be worth around RM5,000.

       "Investigations are under way to trace the suspect," he said on Monday (March 7).
