I am backing Robert Jenrick as the only candidate who is capable of uniting the Conservative Party and taking the fight to both Labour and Reform.
We need someone who is focused on delivering for the whole country and particularly for those red wall communities which we must win back at the next election.
Having grown up in Wolverhampton and as the MP for a Midlands town, Robert knows the issues faced by communities I have represented in places like Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
Rob is the only candidate with credibility who can persuade those who stayed at home or voted Reform and Labour to back us again.
As Levelling Up secretary he oversaw the most housing starts since 1987 and directed record investment into forgotten towns in the Red Wall.

And as Immigration Minister he secured the biggest-ever reduction in legal migration and fought to strengthen the Rwanda partnership to make it a more effective deterrent to illegal migrants.
When he resigned from Government he showed he will do what he believes is right before personal political advantage.
Many who didn’t vote for us last time did not do so because they opposed conservative principles and ideals.
It was through frustration with the national party, its leadership and lack of progress on the key issues like tackling immigration and fixing our NHS, which they care about.
Robert is the candidate who understands this best.

As we rebuild, we should be true to ourselves and put forward the policies we believe in, which we know are right for the country and people will vote for.
As someone who has worked closely with him, I know Robert is the right person to do this and provide the leadership we need.
He is committed to defending the traditional conservative values shared by many communities, which have become diluted in recent years and are now under attack more than ever from Sir Keir’s Starmer’s Labour Party.
