A BRITISH Airways passenger who asked for a spoon to feed his baby was told cutlery was only for Club Class.
Simon Gold, 32, had checked his family’s hand-luggage in the hold for the Madeira to London flight.

After realising he had packed the spoons for one-year-old son Jacob, he asked to borrow one.
But an air stewardess replied that cutlery is “only provided for our Club Europe members” and pointed to the cordoned off seats for business passengers.
It meant Simon and seven-months pregnant wife Ortal, 29, had no way to feed the starving tot on the four-hour flight.
He fumed: “I could not believe what I was hearing — I wasn’t asking for a free meal, I wasn’t asking for an upgrade or a better seat.
“I did a double-take. I was trying to engage their faces to see if they were trying to have a joke but she was deadly serious.
“It was a stressful time anyway as it was the first holiday we’ve flown on together.
“It was a shambles. I don’t think they could be bothered. Their attitude stank.”
The crew eventually relented after 40 minutes of Jacob screaming and handed over a spoon.

Simon, of Borehamwood, Herts, says he later got a letter of apology.
But BA has disputed the length of time the couple waited for a spoon and airline sources denied staff had made the Club Class remark to the couple.
A BA spokesman said: “We’re sorry that during a busy flight our cabin crew were unable to immediately offer our customer the spoon they requested, but did so as soon as they were able.”
