       It is not beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, at least not for the next three days, as 60s for highs rule. Despite the risk of a few light showers tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, it does not amount to much. Seasonably cold air should finally return Sunday, with lots of sun.

       Tomorrow (Friday): The sun will show on occasion, but skies are likely to be partly to mostly cloudy. A stray shower is possible, but most stay dry. Winds are calm, and highs still manage the lower 60s. Spoiler alert: The record high for Reagan National Airport is an unusually low 64 — within reach if enough sun pokes through.        Tomorrow night: Scattered showers are much more likely, but amounts are generally less than a quarter-inch. Winds are light from the southeast. Lows slip to the mid- to upper 40s. Confidence: Medium-High

       A look ahead

       Skies struggle to clear out Saturday but should at least break up enough by afternoon to foster another day in the lower 60s for highs. Shower chances are limited until late in the day. A cold front gradually pushes through the area overnight, and showers could again give the area up to a quarter-inch. It will be hard to catch sight of the “Long Night” full moon until very late, when skies begin to clear. Lows fall to the upper 30s to lower 40s. Confidence: Medium

       Brisk north breezes on Sunday give us a more appropriate chill for December as sunshine becomes abundant and highs reach only the mid- to upper 40s. Overnight lows drop to the mid- to upper 20s under clear, calm conditions. Confidence: Medium
