KLUANG: Four men were injured after a car crashed into a food stall at KM53.5 on Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing here.
Kluang deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the incident occurred at 6pm on Thursday (Feb 10) after a 22-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and ploughed through the stall.
"It was raining during the incident and the vehicle veered into the side of the road before crashing into the food stall operated by the four men.
"The victims, aged between 20 and 26, suffered injuries on their arms and legs while the driver was unharmed," he said in a statement here on Friday (Feb 11).
He added that the case was being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
The offence carries a fine of between RM5,000 and RM10,000 and a jail term of not more than one year.
