PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has reminded candidates and political parties contesting in the Melaka polls that violations of election laws can also result in candidates and parties being investigated under the MACC Act.
“We hope that candidates and political parties will ensure they do not carry out acts that violate election regulations and laws,” said the MACC in a statement on Monday (Nov 8).
The anti-graft authorities said that an operations room has been opened to allow the public to feed information and lodge complaints on any corrupt acts and power abuse that happens during the state election which started Monday (Nov 8).
The MACC ops room is open 24 hours and is located at the Melaka MACC office at Jalan Alai Perdana 16, Crystal Bay.
The public can also lodge complaints via email at aduan.prnmelaka@sprm.gov.my or call 06-289 6011 or 06-289 6000.
