KOTA KINABALU: The low subsidised diesel supply in parts of Sabah is causing problems to the users, said Elopura assemblyman Calvin Chong.
Not only those driving diesel-fuelled vehicles, he said the fishermen and lorry drivers ferrying goods such as palm oil and fruits are also affected.
“I was told that there is a limited stock of supply at a petrol station in Sandakan and this concerns many people,” he said in a statement on Saturday (Dec 30).
He said the situation has also affected the industries that required the use of heavy machinery and heavy vehicles.

Chong, a Parti Warisan member, asked if the shortage is an early sign for price hike of the product and asked the government to explain the situation.
He also noted that Sabah is facing many problems, such as the constant water disruptions as well as a shortage of rice, eggs and other supplies.
