KUALA LUMPUR: Pestech International Bhd has secured a RM68.47mil contract for the construction of a new high-voltage power substation at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP).
In a statement yesterday, the power technology company said wholly-owned subsidiary Pestech Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award from Nur Energy Services Sdn Bhd.
The contract is for the design, supply, delivery, construction, testing and commissioning of a new 132 kilovolts gas-insulated substation, which is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2023.
Pestech managing director and group chief executive officer Paul Lim Pay Chuan said the group sees investments into power grid infrastructure accelerating ahead, driven by post-Covid economic stimulus, particularly in the Asean region.
“This latest win by Pestech in KHTP is a testament to our proven track record and core expertise to secure sizeable contracts from established clients,” he said.
Going forward, Lim said Pestech will step up efforts in the renewable energy (RE) market by collaborating with strategic partners. — Bernama
