JOHOR BAHRU: A billboard put up near a pedestrian bridge in Senai has been removed for having "provocative material" while two others were removed without notice, says Pakatan Harapan's Wong Bor Yang.
The Senai candidate said a concrete reason must be given for the removal of the billboards, including the ones in Taman Khet Loong and Lorong Ismail Pekan Kulai.
"I urge the election campaign enforcement team to carry out its duties fairly and professionally," said Wong.
He added in a statement on Monday (March 7) that all the billboards had a licence from the Kulai town council and did not contravene any electoral laws.
"The enforcement team can discuss with me or my representatives before taking action, if there is any offence," said Wong.
The Johor state election is on March 12.
