Meghan Markle surprised the staff that have been fighting for paid family leave in the United States, a cause that is close to her heart. Signed from Archewell, she sent them a $25 Starbucks gift card as a thankyou for the ongoing work they are doing. The Duchess of Sussex has been active in campaigning for paid leave and last month penned an open letter to the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Meghan stated: "Paid leave should be a national right, rather than a patchwork option limited to those whose employers have policies in place, or those who live in one of the few states where a leave program exists."

Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi discuss the Duchess' latest move on an episode of Royally US.

Ms Garibaldi said: "Meghan is also putting her stamp on paid family leave, she penned an open letter to Congress last week.

"This week shes giving back and saying thank you, and she's doing that by handing out some Starbucks gift cards.

"I thought this was a very nice gesture."

Ms Ross added: "I thought this was so cute, she gave $25 gift cards to non-profit workers from Paid Leave US.

"They were signed from Archewell, so it was something Archewell was doing for this non-profit.

"It's such a small gesture, but it meant to much to those workers, who are working overtime trying to get this pushed through.

"I think that it was such a classy gesture.

"Definitely, they're working really hard, as we know she's a mom of two.

"She said in her letter, yes, she has a life of privilege, but a lot of people don't get to have this paid family leave and have that bonding time with their child."

The Duke and Duchess welcomed a daughter in June, Lilibet Diana.

Workers that recieved the vouchers posted their thanks on social media, along with the screenshot of their giftcards.

       The message read: “Hi there,

Just a little something to keep you going. Thank you for all that you do.

       From: Archewell”
