The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, officially opened two new galleries charting the story of the Holocaust and the Second World War. On the day before Armistice Day, Kate viewed the museum's Second World War Galleries.

The gallery displays over 1,500 collection items from 80 countries to bring to life how the conflict impacted many millions of people.

The Duchess also toured the new Holocaust Galleries, which tell the individual stories of some of the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust.

It features more than 2,000 photos, books, artworks, letters and personal belongings.

Prince William's wife looked typically stunning in a long blue coat and suede stilettos in a similar shade for the engagement.

The mother-of-three wore a cream and navy shirt with gold buttons, which she tucked into a chic pair of high-waisted trousers.

Kate completed her outfit with a poppy and styled her brunette hair in bouncy curls around her shoulders.

During the visit to the museum, the Duchess also saw the exhibition Generations: Portraits Of Holocaust Survivors.

The exhibition includes two photographic portraits she took last year to mark 75 years since the end of the Holocaust.

And Kate met once again with Steven Frank and Yvonne Bernstein, who she photographed alongside their granddaughters for the exhibition.

Kate's engagement at the museum comes after Meghan Markle made her latest appearance in the US yesterday.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared in person at the New York Times DealBook online summit to discuss how women can reach "economic and professional parity".

Meghan discussed her calls for paid parental leave after contacting US politicians in recent weeks.

The Duchess insisted the issue of paid leave is "humanitarian" as she admitted there is a precedent in the Royal Family of "not having any involvement in politics".

During the 30-minute session called Minding the Gap, Meghan was asked if she has any "anxiety" about getting involved in politics.

She replied: "I don't see this as a political issue frankly.

"Look, there is certainly a precedent amongst my husband's family and the royal family of not having any involvement in politics, but I think this is... I mean, paid leave, from my standpoint, is just a humanitarian issue."
