Kate, Duchess of Cambridge spread some royal festive cheer on Wednesday evening (December 8) with her 'Together at Christmas' carol concert. Kate arrived at Westminster Abbey for the event dressed in a suitably seasonal red dress which she paired with red pumps. The concert paid tribute to people who helped to support their communities during the pandemic.

Some 1,200 unsung Covid heroes filled the seats of Westminster Abbey for the special Christmas service.

And many of the attendees aided the UK's evacuation effort from Afghanistan earlier this year.

In a programme booklet for the service, Kate touched upon "the importance of simply being together".

The Duchess wrote: "We have lost loved ones, seen our frontline workers placed under immeasurable pressure, and we have experienced heart-wrenching isolation from those we hold most dear.

"Alongside this, we have seen how communities have come together to support those most in need.

"And through our separation from others, we have been reminded just how powerful human connection is to us all.

"Just how much we need one another. And how loving and feeling a sense of belonging to one another can provide comfort in tough times. The importance of simply being together."

Full details of Kate's carol concert are being kept under wraps in anticipation of its airing on ITV on Christmas Eve.

But based on pictures of the event, several members of the Royal Family were in attendance to support Kate's 'Together at Christmas' carol concert on Wednesday night.

Kate's loving husband Prince William was by the Duchess' side as she mingled with guests.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, was also pictured chatting to guests, with the Countess wearing a burgundy coat and a face mask.

The Queen's granddaughter Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also attended, with Beatrice wearing a brown coat and dark red accessories.

Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie was also in the Abbey for the concert, as was the Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall.

Members of the Middleton family were also present to cheer Kate on.

Kate's parents Michael and Carole Middleton were seated near the front to support their daughter.

Kate's younger sister Pippa Matthews attended and wore a suitably festive emerald coat for the occasion.

And Kate's brother James Middleton was also in attendance with his wife Alizee, with the two tying the knot earlier this year.

Many of the guests wore face masks in the Abbey due to the spread of the Omicron Covid variant.

The Duchess of Cambridge's Together at Christmas concert airs on Christmas Eve on ITV.
