KUALA LUMPUR: A motorist failed to control his supercar and caused a multi-vehicle collision on Jalan Tun Razak here.
City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the incident occurred at around 8.40am on Wednesday (Sept 8).
"Investigations revealed the 42-year-old driver of the supercar was headed from KLIA toward the Bulatan Pahang roundabout when he encountered a traffic jam.
"He failed to control his vehicle and rammed into another car, causing it to overturn, before hitting several other vehicles," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said all motorists involved suffered light injuries and were taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment.
"We conducted an alcohol and urine test on the supercar driver, which came back negative," he said, adding that the case was classified as careless and inconsiderate driving under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
