Rishi Sunak’s successor has been predicted by a supercomputer and the result is not good news for the former PM Boris Johnson.
In the wake of rumours about internal discord within the Conservative Party, Star Sports has reduced the odds of Kemi Badenoch becoming the party leader to 9/4 from 5/2.
The current Secretary of State for Business and Trade is facing increased speculation amid murmurs of a rebellion against the Prime Minister that has unsettled the Conservative ranks.
Penny Mourdant follows closely in the race at 5/1, with former Home Secretary Suella Braverman trailing at 13/2.

The odds for the Essex MP to replace Sunak have shifted from 5/2 to 9/4, while Mr Sunak's odds of being replaced have shortened to as low as 11/8 amid internal disagreements.？
William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “The Conservative party has been victim to some recent rumours surrounding Rishi Sunak’s potential ousting in favour of Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch.？
“We have seen plenty of money for the Essex MP to try her hand at leading the party, being backed into 9/4 from 5/2. The familiar names of Penny Mourdant (5/1) and former Home Secretary Suella Braverman (13/2) have also been tipped to be in the running.
？“Following the turbulence within the Conservatives, the idea of Rishi Sunak being replaced before the end of the year looks entirely possible at just 11/8.”

Simon Clarke, formerly a cabinet minister in Liz Truss's brief government, called on Mr Sunak to resign and allow for a new leader within the Tory party.
In an opinion piece for the Telegraph, Clarke expressed that Sunak's "uninspiring leadership poses the primary obstacle to our recovery" and lamented that he has "regrettably transitioned from being an asset to becoming a hindrance."
Clarke contended that Mr Sunak is steering the Conservatives towards an electoral disaster, stating, "He is leading the party into an election where we are likely to suffer greatly" because "he lacks an understanding of what Britain truly needs, and he is not attuned to the desires of the British people."
