A 69-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a home.

       Cops discovered the unresponsive man in a house in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, at around 11.50pm last night.

       The pensioner, who was at the address, was then arrested on suspicion of murder.

       Leicestershire Police confirmed that she remains in custody at this time.

       Cops were called to the address by the East Midlands Ambulance Service with a murder probe now underway.

       Detective Inspector Emma Matts, the senior investigating officer, said: “Our investigation to ascertain what happened is very much in its early stages and officers will be in the area today carrying out further enquiries.

       “Police will be speaking to those living in the area and I’d ask anyone who heard or saw anything unusual to come forward. Any information you’re able to provide could help.”
