VILLAGERS in Muallim, Perak, caught a 70kg python with the help of personnel from the Civil Defence Force after it swallowed a goat, Sin Chew Daily reported.

       A worker who was cleaning the goat pen, found the sleeping reptile.

       The Civil Defence Force was called to a farm near the Behrang train station at 2.30pm on Friday to catch the reptile.

       It took just 10 minutes to get the job done and the python, which was about 1.8m long, was sent to the Sungkai Department of Wildlife and National Parks.

       Uncertain whether to be happy or angry, the mother posted her cut identity card online to the amusement of many Internet users.

       Others commented saying that it was no small effort for a child to cut a plastic card and praised her for managing to cut it with such straight lines.

       The mother explained that the daughter always loved arts and crafts and decided on making a card for her mother for her birthday.

       The little girl drew both her parents on the red-coloured card, along with a rainbow and birthday wishes.

       Realising that the card did not have a photo of her mother, the girl decided to cut it out of her mother’s Resident Identity Card and paste it onto the card.

       The mother later revealed that it was fortunate that her daughter had cut her old identity card and that her new one was still intact.

       > A food delivery rider in Sichuan, China, stopped by the roadside to save a woman who was not breathing only to discover that his motorcycle was stolen while he was helping to resuscitate her, China Press reported.

       The incident happened on Sept 28 while he was on a delivery run.

       He noticed a woman lying unconscious on the road and stopped to perform CPR on the woman who regained consciousness.

       Thinking that his job was done, the rider set about to resume his delivery.

       He gave up looking for his motorcycle after a few minutes when he realised that it must have been stolen.

       When interviewed, the man said he was angry but did not regret his actions.

       “I told my customers that I lost my motorcycle. I feel that saving someone’s life is more important than the negative reviews I’d get (for failing to complete the deliveries),” he said.
