BEIJING - Tech company ByteDance, the creator of short video app TikTok, will soon cancel its weekend overtime practice, joining two other major Chinese tech firms that have already scrapped the work culture.
The big tech firms are seeking to improve work-life balance for workers to be in line with the national objective of raising the dwindling number of newborns, and to play catch-up with labour laws, analysts said.
