Loved ones shared their heartbreak as they faced the milestone without the alleged murder victim.

Today would have been her 17th birthday
Relatives and friends wished Amber a “happy heavenly birthday” earlier today.
Carol Niven shared a photo of the teenager and wrote: “Aw hen, canny believe your 17th birthday in heaven. Dance wae yer nana.”
Another relative said: “Happy heavenly 17th birthday gorgeous girl, love you.”
And a pal wrote: “Happy birthday angel.”
Amber’s body was discovered in Cazdow Glen, Hamilton, on November 28.
We previously told how friends and fellow pupils released balloons in her memory during a vigil in the town’s Chatelherault Country Park.

Pals and locals also placed flowers and notes at a makeshift shrine.
Amber’s brother Connor Gibson, 19, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last month charged with sexual assault and murder.
He was also accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Gibson, also of Hamilton, made no plea when he appeared via videolink and was remanded in custody.
The charges followed a major police investigation into Amber’s disappearance and death.

She went missing on Friday, November 26, after leaving her home in the town’s Hillhouse area.
The last confirmed sighting of the teenager was in Cazdow Street, close to a bridge, just before 10pm that same night.
She never returned home and the alarm was raised early the following day.
Her body was discovered shortly after 10am on Sunday, November 28, around 200 yards from where she was last seen.
