The couple have been going to Playa Blanca in the Spanish islands for ten years.

On January 20, they decided to venture to sea front eatery Casa Pedro for a change.

Dean and Kerry had enjoyed a "perfect" day of driving around the island when Dean asked the waiter if the restaurant had any prawns on the menu as they are his "wife's favourite".

But the pair was left fuming when the plate with nothing but five king prawns and a bit of potatoes arrived at their table.

Their romantic dinner then went completely down the drain when they were handed a £116 bill for their meal.

Dean shared how his night was ruined on social media.

He wrote: "Wow, I'm furious. Kerry and I went to Casa Pedro for a meal tonight.

"Their special was king prawns... they dished up five king prawns between us with a portion of canarian potatoes... €125 just for that!!

Some Tripadvisor reviews of Casa Pedro share a similar experience to the Cadywoulds.

One user rated 1/5 and wrote: Shocking!!!! Don’t do it because it’s SUPER expensive for not even mediocre food, waiters were dreadful and no atmosphere at all.

"They only take cash and in my honest opinion charge what they believe they can get away with.

" If you are offered a special of the day make sure you ask the price beforehand. We didn’t… Ouch."

Another said: "Very poor food. Avoid this restaurant. Bill arrived and told to go get cash as they don't take card payments.

"Fish platter was the top offering on the menu. It was awful. Overcooked dry fish accompanied with three potatoes. Keep walking do not enter."

But others had raving reviews, with one customer writing: "Casa Pedro in Lanzarote Playa Blanca surpassed all expectations.

"From the moment we walked in, the warm ambience and attentive staff set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

"The fish and seafood were a culinary masterpiece – incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavour."

Casa Pedro did not wish to comment on the incident when contacted by The Sun Online.

It comes after a group of tourists were left fuming after they were charged over £100 for their lunch of just three hot dogs, a sandwich and soft drinks.

The family of four were dining at at a bar in Rome when they ordered the meals.

The bar, which was on Via dell Conciliazione near St Peter's Square, charged the family €119 (£104) for the hot dogs and a ham and cheese sandwich.

They also ordered four cans of Coca Cola and a bottle of water.

They were even charged €17 (£14) for service.

Meanwhile, another holidaymaker revealed how he was charged £360 for four drinks and a snack at a "rip-off" restaurant on a Greece holiday island.

Jak Kypri, from London, was visiting the Greek island of Mykonos when he visited restaurant, DK Oyster.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Jak said he had previously gone to the place with a friend, but thought that he wouldn't be ripped off because he spoke Greek.

"I thought if they try to scam me I'll tell them to p*** off and give me the real price."

But when he walked in, Jak said that waiters didn't offer him a menu, instead telling him what they had.
