       Nigel Farage accused Sir Keir Starmer of being "terrified" of him after the PM launched a major attack yesterday. The Reform UK leader said the Prime Minister mentioned him 16 times in his speech at a glass factory in the North West.

       Speaking at a cryptocurrency conference in Las Vegas, Mr Farage said: "Keir Starmer, our socialist Prime Minister is terrified. Do you know he mentioned me 16 times today in a speech. I'm living rent-free inside his head."

       In his speech yesterday, Sir Keir said Mr Farage's plans to spend "billions upon billions upon billions, tens of billions of pounds, in an unfunded way" was an "exact repeat of what Liz Truss did".

       He insisted he wanted to "protect" working people from what Reform would do.

       Sir Keir rejected this, saying: "I know what it means to work 10 hours a day in a factory five days a week, and I know that because that is what my dad did every single working day of his life, and that's what I grew up with.

       "So I don't need lessons from Nigel Farage about the issues that matter most to working people in this country."
