Chris Marshall, 32, and Laura Davies, 31, were due to wed there next year, but fear losing £500 in deposits to suppliers such as florists if they can’t find another venue.
Chris, of South Shields, South Tyneside, said: “We’re devastated.”
Zac Mavin and Beth Roberts, both 26, of Ashington, were left “speechless” after their £7,000 price soared to £20,000.
The Northumberland hotel has new owners who “invested heavily in the wedding experience”.
It said it is honouring 119 bookings this year at a loss of £1.2million, and is “working with couples on a solution”.
