       CHIBA -- A 23-year-old woman was arrested Dec. 14 for allegedly throwing her newborn baby from the second floor of a group home facility in the east Japan city of Yotsukaido, Chiba Prefecture.

       Chiba Prefectural Police's Yotsukaido Police Station arrested Chihiro Saito on suspicion of murder. Saito has reportedly admitted to killing the baby boy by throwing him to the ground from the second floor of the facility she lived at sometime between Dec. 10 and 10:50 a.m. on Dec. 14. The boy was apparently only a few days old.

       A propane gas company employee who visited the site to replace cylinders on the morning of Dec. 14 found the baby dead. The newborn had no clothes on. Following an emergency call, police officers rushed to the scene. Saito's involvement apparently emerged while they were questioning facility staff members.
