Police identify man fatally stabbed in Northwest Washington

       D.C. police identified a man who was fatally stabbed Saturday morning in Northwest Washington as 32-year-old Michael Stroops.

       The attack occurred about 8 a.m. in the 4200 block of Kansas Avenue NW, near the corner of Georgia Avenue and Upshur Street NW, police said.

       Officers responding to calls about an unconscious person found Stroops, who police said had no fixed address, suffering from stab wounds and showing no signs of life.

       D.C. violence leaves four people dead over 24 hours, police say

       No arrest has been made, and police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
