SHAH ALAM: About 900 technical and vocational education (TVET) students and graduates will have the chance to work with global glove manufacturer Top Glove.

Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said these students will be able to do their industrial training at the Malaysian company's facilities and offices.

"The five year long public private partnership between the ministry and Top

Glove is anticipated to enhance Malaysia’s TVET sector," he said after witnessing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Top Glove on Thursday (Nov 18).

"Our young talent will be able to get on-the-job-training, industrial knowledge and get a taste of the real working environment, while TVET educators will be upskilled and gain exposure to industrial practices," he added.

The students, he added, are from the 84 TVET institutions under the Education Ministry.

At the same event, Top Glove managing director Datuk Lee Kim Meow said they recognise the role TVET graduates play in driving the country's development.
