Touch ‘n Go has officially announced that an enhanced version of its TNG card is available now, priced at RM10.

       The new card comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology which allows users to reload value directly into it from their Touch ‘n Go ewallet. The company states this feature is not available in the previous generation of TNG cards, which it has now dubbed the ‘classic edition’.

       Previously, users could only reload their Touch ‘n Go cards at physical touchpoints. However this feature is still available for the enhanced TNG card.

       According to an FAQ, users need to update their Touch ‘n Go ewallet app to the latest version (1.7.72 and above) to facilitate the reloading process for the enhanced card.

       The new card also comes with a QR code which will lead users to download the Touch ‘n Go ewallet app.

       The company says that users can also place their enhanced Touch ‘n Go card on the back of their smartphone to top up. Before they can do so however, users would need to ensure that their TNG ewallet account is eKYC verified, their TNG ewallet app is at version 1.7.72 and above, and their mobile device is NFC-compatible running on at least iOS 13 or Android 4.4.

       The enhanced Touch ‘n Go card comes with a lifespan of seven years, with the expiry date printed on the back of the card.

       Users can purchase the card via the Touch 'n Go eWallet app or participating outlets nationwide. Full details are available on the Touch 'n Go website.
