Smyths Toy Stores urge Irish parents to buy Christmas gifts earlier to ‘avoid disappointment’

       SMYTHS Toy Stores have urged Irish shoppers to get their Christmas gifts early this year to "avoid disappointment".

       The major toy retailer said some toys will be in short supply this festive season.

       A spokesperson for Smyths Toy Stores said "It's always a good idea to avoid disappointment and shop early.

       "While some toys may be in short supply, we will be in good stocks from now till the end of Christmas on the majority of toys."

       With Christmas season just around the corner, Smyths are the latest retailer to launch their festive sales.

       Last week, Tesco Ireland launched a massive toy sale in an opportunity for parents to get the dreaded Christmas shopping done early.

       The popular supermarket is offering customers up to 50 per cent off toys from today until the October 31.

       You will have to be quick though as the items are only available while stocks last.

       Tesco Ireland said: "Tesco Ireland is on hand to help the eager Christmas shoppers on the lookout for an early offer.

       "The Toy Sale is offering Tesco customers up to half price off some children’s toys and there’s something for everyone.

       "All offers are available from 7th – 31st October or while stocks last."

       With nine different toys to choose from, there is something for every child this Christmas season.

       The 'Gourmet Ice Cream Cart - 28 pieces' is 25 per cent off and is now only €22.14 after being reduced from €29.52.

       The weeks long sale also has a 'Peppa Pig 14 Inch Peppa Classic Plush' at half price at €12.20 and a 'Multi-Tool Set' is also a whopping 50 per cent off at only €18.00.

       TOP OFFERS

       A 'Robo Fish' is now 25 per cent off and priced at €11.25 whilst a 'So Slime Tye&Dye Washer' is also reduced by 25 per cent with prices now at €22.50 and the 'Pets Alive Pug' is also 25 per cent off and is now €26.25 after being reduced from €35.

       The 'Roblox Jailbreak Playset' has been reduced from a whopping €50 to only €25 and the 'Science Museum Medium Sets Assortments' is now less than €20 after being reduced from over €25.

       The cute 'Frozen Toddler Doll and accessory' has dropped dramatically in price and is now only €37.50 after being reduced from €50.00.
