During her 40-minute tour of the site, Her Majesty met some of the actors, including the fictional Bailey family. The last time the Queen toured the popular studios was in 1982 at its original location in Granada street, Manchester.
Her Majesty spoke to producer Iain MacLeod and actresses Charlotte Jordan and Ruxandra Porojnicu.
She asked Ms Jordan, who portrays Daisy Midgeley, whether it was “fun to do”.
Ms Jordan replied: "It's great fun. It's fun to portray trouble."
Smiling broadly, the Monarch asked: "The programme doesn't do a lot of trouble though, does it?"
Mr Macleod then replied: "We try to balance the trouble with some niceness, ma'am.
"There's some trouble, I'll be honest.”
The Queen then added: “I suppose, life’s a trouble isn’t it?”
The Queen arrived at Victoria Station in Manchester earlier in the day wearing a teal Angela Kelly outfit, coordinated with her hat.
