Lee Anderson has insisted that Reform UK are “cracking on” after leader Nigel Farage’s meeting with American billionaire Elon Musk.
Mr Farage and new Reform UK treasurer Nick Candy headed to meet the owner of Tesla and X who played a crucial role in Donald Trump’s recent election victory.

In an interview with GB News, Mr Farage said that Musk taught him a huge amount as he said: “I spent an hour going through with him what his strategy was - how he got new voters registered, how he used various tech tools to get them out to vote on the day. I took copious notes, I learnt a huge amount.”
The trio posed for a picture in front of a portrait of a young Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago, which Mr Anderson later posted on X as he made a not so subtle dig at Labour following their decision not to give WASPI women compensation.
In a blistering two-word statement of intent, Mr Anderson said: “Cracking On."
He added: "Whilst @UKLabour are busy telling lies to pensioners we at @reformparty_uk are busy working hard to save our country.”

Anderson’s comments come on the back of Labour’s decision not to award compensation to those 1950s-born women who were affected when their state pension age for women increased from 60 to 65 to equalise it with men.
Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall, who pledged support for the women whilst in opposition said there will be "no scheme" for compensation, as it "isn't fair or value for taxpayers' money".
Several prominent front benchers, including Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Deputy Leader are also on record backing those seeking compensation only to reverse their feelings when in government.
Meanwhile, the meeting of Reform leadership and the President-Elect's team comes as rumours swirl of a possible cash injection into the party by Musk, who is believed to be willing to donate up to ￡79 million.

When asked, Mr Farage said: “Inevitably, we did discuss money. Now, that’s a negotiation we would go back and have again. He’s not against giving us money, he hasn’t fully decided he will. If he does it wouldn’t be the ludicrous numbers in the Sunday Times (￡200 million).

"But the most important thing is this, this is what Musk said to me: British politics now has a uni-party, there isn’t much to choose. And he genuinely fears that the mother country of the English-speaking world is going down the tubes. He agrees Britain needs reform, he’s right behind me.”
Much of the discussion on the possibility of the donation happening has centred on the legality of such a donation but many people, including Farage think that there are ways around any potential electoral law stumbling blocks.
Speaking about the potential investment in Reform last night, political commentator Lewis Goodall told the BBC’s Newsnight programme that “the top of British politics needs to wake up to what is heading our way.”
