One man was killed and a second man and a 7-year-old boy were wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Prince George’s County, police said.

Authorities identified the man who died as 28-year-old Shakir Taylor of District Heights.

The gunfire occurred around 8:25 p.m. in the 7600 block of Marlboro Pike, said Cpl. Kyndle Johnson, a spokeswoman for the county police. The victims apparently then drove to the 2000 block of Addison Road South, she said.

Officers found Taylor inside an SUV with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

The other man and the boy were taken to hospitals with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, according to Johnson.

The department did not release the name of the child, and police have not said what led to the gunfire.

The shooting occurred in a commercial section of the Forestville area.
