A WOMAN claims to have been groped by pervert bathers in same spot where a girl, 15, was raped in the sea in front of unaware beachgoers.

News of the shocking incident led her to speak out about an assault she experienced on the same beach in Bournemouth a few weeks before.

She explained that, many different people tried to "grope" her while she was in the sea.

She claimed she would be unable to identify anyone as there were "hundreds" of people who were just passing next to her as the waters were crammed with swimmers.

In order to avoid it, she swam to other areas and says she is "fine" after the incident.

Meanwhile, cops are desperately hunting a boy, 17, after the attack in Bournemouth, Dorset, as temperatures soared on Sunday, July 18.

And local residents have spoken of their shock and horror at the rape attack.

Emma Gray posted on social media: "Hope the vile human is found and locked up. I really hope the victim gets all the support she needs. She will be terrified of returning to the beach."

Kristina Flaherty posted: "Poor poor girl. I hope they catch this pervert soon."

The 15-year-old girl was raped in the sea in front of hundreds of unaware beachgoers.

She was playing with a ball in the water with her friends when it landed in front of a teenage boy.

He eventually threw it back to one of the group and then began talking to the victim, before pulling her out deeper into the sea where it is reported he raped her.

The shocking incident happened on what was the hottest day of the year when the beach was packed.

       DAYLIGHT ATTACK

The offender told the schoolgirl he was 17 years old and was from Birmingham.

He is described as possibly of Pakistani descent, with tanned skin and short dark hair that was pushed back and looked freshly trimmed.

He was between five feet and five feet seven inches tall and of a thin but muscular build, and he was wearing black or grey swimming shorts.

Detectives investigating the attack, which occurred at around 3.30pm near the Oceanarium, are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "A full investigation is underway into this incident and we are continuing to support the victim while we carry out enquiries.

"I know that the beach was very busy on the day of the incident so I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.

"Also, I would urge anyone who was on the beach in the vicinity of the Oceanarium to check any photographs or video footage taken to see if they have captured anything of relevance.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who recognises the boy from the description given or may have seen him on the beach on Sunday 18 July.
