KOTA KINABALU: Almost 20% of Saturday’s (Dec 11) new Covid-19 cases in Sabah involved children under the age of 12.
Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in Sabah, Datuk Masidi Manjun said out of the 287 new cases, more than 50 are children who were not yet eligible to be vaccinated.
He added 54 infected people, or 19%, were foreigners.
"Out of today’s total cases, 277 are under stages one and two," he said.
Masidi said three cases were under stages three, four and five respectively.
"As for seven others, their diagnoses are still pending verification from the Health Department," he said.
The top three districts with the highest number of cases were in Kota Kinabalu (57), Papar (37) and Ranau (33).
