Sections of secret love letters a teacher allegedly sent to a teenage boy have been revealed in court.

The court heard that the letters were allegedly sent by Rebecca Joynes, 30, who is currently on trial at Manchester Crown Court. She is accused of six counts of having sexual activity with a child and denies all charges.

The accusations involve two teenage boys, Boy A and Boy B, whom she reportedly met whilst working as a teacher in the Greater Manchester area.

Joynes denies two counts of sexual activity with Boy A and two counts of sexual activity with Boy B while being a person in a position of trust.

Earlier this year, jurors heard how Joynes allegedly groomed one of the teenage boys before later having sex with him.

This week, the court was told how Joynes allegedly told one of the teenagers, with whom she later became pregnant, that she wished they could “keep this going for a while longer”.

Prosecuting, Joe Allman read out extracts from one of Joynes’ letters to one of the teenage boys. The court heard that she wrote: “Every inch of you is perfect and you are all I ever dream about.

“I know we are struggling right now and are both extremely stressed, but I really hope we can work something out to keep this going for a while longer.”

Joynes denied to the court that the letter was part of a strategy to try and stop Boy B from leaving her. Joynes told the court: “We were in a relationship, I was in love with him, I was pregnant with his child.” She added that the letter had been written and sent a year after Boy B had left school.

Joynes also rejected the accusation put to her by Mr Allman that she had insinuated to Boy B that she would harm herself if he ended the relationship.

The Mail reported Joynes claimed that things “got really difficult when I felt pregnant” and that she “wasn’t committing an offence by doing any of it”.

After Mr Allman asked Joynes who in the relationship had been controlling whom, Joynes replied that no one was controlling anyone and claimed Boy B had later become “very controlling”.

       The trial continues.
