JOHOR BARU: Six people in a factory bus bound for Singapore were injured after the vehicle hit a concrete structure in Skudai here.
The bus was carrying nine passengers when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle at KM16 Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam at about 5.30am on Monday (June 20).
Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Rupiah Abd Wahid said the bus was heading towards Singapore from Taman Ungku Tun Aminah in Skudai when it went ouit of control and rammed the concrete structure of a bridge.
“The impact caused the bus to skid onto the road shoulder.
“The bus driver and five passengers were injured and have been sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for medical attention,” she said, adding that the four other passengers were unhurt.
The incident is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
