KUALA TERENGGANU: A woman who won the hearts of netizens after a video went viral showing her riding a three-wheel motorcycle with a person with disabilities (OKU) in the hot weather here has urged the public to stop spreading her personal information.

The 40-year-old woman known as Hijrah Soleh said she felt uncomfortable when many people contacted her to express sympathy and want to provide various assistance since the video, which was recorded without her knowledge near the drawbridge here, and her personal details went viral on social media last Saturday.

"Alhamdulillah, Malaysians are very concerned and this is proven when I received too many phone calls and messages saying that they want to offer help.

"However, I need to clarify that the income from my business is still sufficient to cover my expenses and daily needs so far. I would be happier if the assistance is given to the needy,” she told Bernama when contacted on Monday (March 28).

Hijrah Soleh said there were also inaccurate statements made by netizens in the comments section of the post, such as the disabled senior citizen on the sidecar of the motorcycle was her mother who had just returned from receiving treatment at the hospital.

She explained that the woman was not her biological mother but an aunt who is living with her for a while.

"I really appreciate the concern of all parties, but please do not share my information such as phone number and address. If they want to help, I prefer it to be done by supporting my business,” said Hijrah Soleh who sells aiskrim potong and health products around this city. - Bernama
