PETALING JAYA: A total of 5,774,667 people, or 17.2% of those eligible have received their first dose, while 2,309,018 – or 6.8% of those eligible – have fully completed their vaccination.
The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply said in a tweet yesterday that this brings the total number of doses administered in Malaysia to 8,083,685.
For the country to transition from Phase One of the National Recovery Plan to Phase Two, 10% of the population must have been fully vaccinated.
On Wednesday, Malaysia administered 258,773 doses of Covid-19 vaccines where 163,756 people received their first jab, while 95,017 completed both doses.
