PUTRAJAYA: The public can now film their vaccination process so there is a record of them receiving a proper dosage of the vaccine, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

“If this was not allowed before, I am now giving permission, and I have asked for permission from the Health Minister to allow the public to video their vaccination process.

“Go ahead and film yourself, take a video of your vaccination so that you have hard proof and we also have hard proof of you receiving a proper dose of the vaccine,” he said on Friday (July 23).

Khairy, who is the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister, also said the standard operating procedure of showing the syringe that has been filled with the right quantity of vaccine to the vaccinee must be followed.

He said the permission to record the vaccination process came following claims of incidents of empty vaccination doses.

“I hope this issue ends here. I do not want to disrupt the commitment and dedication of the frontliners in carrying out their duties, which has somewhat been affected over recent days,” he said.

Khairy reiterated that all vaccination complaints reported by the public were taken seriously.

“I don’t want to downplay this because even if there is one single error, that one error is too much for me. Human negligence happens everywhere in the world but two wrongs don’t make a right.

“For the cases where there was human negligence, I apologise. We will do better. But I hope the Malaysian public will continue to support the hard work of our frontliners,” he said.
