Prince Harry crisis as 'various’ Royal Family members demand Queen ‘disowns’ Duke – expert

The Duke of Sussex has launched a number of scathing attacks on the Royal Family since quitting The Firm and last week announced plans to release a tell-all book in 2022. In March, Harry and Meghan confirmed they would not be returning as working members of the Royal Family and the Queen removed all their associated patronages – including the Duke’s beloved ties to the military.

The Queen, 95, stopped short of stripping the pair of their royal titles and they remain as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

However, royal author Lady Colin Campbell has claimed some members of the Royal Family - and even politicians – believe the Palace should cut all ties with Harry.

Lady C made the remarks after responding to one of her viewers on her YouTube channel who called on the Queen to take action against her grandson.

Lady C said: “You think the Queen should disown him? I’ve got news for you.

“Various members of the Royal Family, various aristocrats, various couriers, several people at the palace, various members of both major political parties all agree. All agree!”

She added: “People have a lot of respect for and affection for the Queen.

“Nobody likes seeing an old woman being tormented the way she is being tormented by her supposed beloved grandson.”

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan and Harry made a number of explosive claims, including allegations of racism within the royal institution – something denied by the Royal Family.

Duncan Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, suggests this was done to show royal life continues “with or without” Harry.

He told Closer magazine: "William and Kate have kept a dignified silence but now they’re letting their actions do the talking.

"It’s almost as if they’re sending a secret message to Harry and Meghan saying, 'We’re going to keep going, we’re still here, we’re not backing down, we’re carrying on.

"It’s a message to Harry that life continues - with or without him."

The Royal Family is braced for further damning revelations when Harry publishes his memoir late next year.

Harry, 36, said the book will be an "accurate and wholly truthful" account of his life experiences.

The Duke said: "I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

"I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story - the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned - I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

"I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first-hand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful."
