KOTA KINABALU: Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is scheduled to visit Sabah today, one of the states with a critical Covid-19 situation amid a slow vaccination rate compared to the national average.
His agenda includes attending a state-level Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force meeting with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The two leaders will hold a press conference after the meeting.
As part of his working visit, Khairy will visit Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 and Hospital Papar, about an hour’s drive from the state capital.
He is expected to address the problem of overwhelmed and exhausted medical frontliners due to a high number of Covid-19 cases.
